Beginner Sewing Workshop - Embroidery, Customise your clothes - 14th March 2027
A beginner friendly introduction to hand stitched embroidery techniques. First we will take the time to practice some individual stitches and gain confidence. Then we will look at how you can use these techniques to customise your own clothes or textile items looking at some tips and tricks along the way. This could be a simple monogram or something more whimsical and flamboyant!
I will provide all threads and equipment needed for the embroidery along with fabric for the practice stitches. It would be great if you could bring along a garment or an item that you would like to start as your first project for the second part of the workshop. A denim jacket or cotton shirt makes a great blank canvas.
Embroidery is a fantastic way of creating something entirely bespoke for yourself or a loved one. It is a slow craft that requires your full attention, forcing you to take some time out of the day to day rush. There is something special about coming together to practice this traditional craft and I am certain that you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of your final pieces!
£40 per person
