Join us for a beginner friendly sewing workshop at Made & Found Wincanton.

We will be making a simple but stylish shoulder bag for you to take away.

All equipment and refreshments will be provided during the workshop.  You will need to bring your chosen fabric and thread.

All equipment will be provided, including a sewing machine but if you wish to bring and work on your own sewing machine then you are welcome to.  Please ensure that it is working and that you bring the machine, power lead, presser foot and a bobbin reel.

Who is it suitable for?

This workshop is suitable for beginners.

Each workshop has a maximum of 4 spaces which means that there will be plenty of time for me to help and support you through the making process.

What is included?

  • Bag pattern and instructions that you will take away with you to enable you to make more.
  • Use of sewing machine and all necessary equipment
  • Magnetic fastening for bag closure
  • Refreshments – tea, coffee, squash, biscuits

What do I need to bring?

Woven, non-stretchy fabric will work for the outer and lining of this bag.  For the outer something with a little bit of structure such as a denim, canvas or twill would be brilliant.  The lining can be a lighter weight fabric such as a quilting cotton but it will work with a heavier weight as well.
