Quilted Box Pouch - Beginner Plus+ workshop
You will cut out, quilt and assemble a box shaped pouch, The shape and generous size of this item makes it an extremely versatile pouch that can be used as a make up bag, pencil case or hand bag organiser.

3 Hours – This course can run on a Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday.

This workshop is suitable for those who can thread a sewing machine and sew a straight line, following a seam allowance. Never put a zip in before? Don’t worry! This will be covered step by step as part of the course.

What is included?
- Pattern and instructions that you will take away with you
- Use of sewing machine and equipment
- Quilt wadding
- Cotton tape – for tabs at end of zip
- Refreshments – tea, coffee, squash, biscuits
What do I need to bring?
- Outer fabric – A woven, non-stretch fabric. Denim, canvas, cotton twill, quilting cotton or cotton poplin will all work well. If using same fabric for both sides you will need 1 piece 42cm x 32cm. If using a different piece for each side you will need 2 x pieces 32cm x 21cm.
- Lining – A woven non-stretch fabric. Something lighter like a quilting cotton or a cotton poplin will be perfect. Avoid
slippy, silky synthetic fabrics as these will be tricky to work with. You will need 1 piece 42cm x 32cm.
- 1 standard dress zip – 10" / 25cm long. Please ensure that the zip does not have metal teeth.
- Matching thread.
